Ioanna Georgia Eskiadi is a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a researcher at the Peace Journalism Laboratory within the Department of Journalism and Media, AUTH, where she contributes to important research projects. Her PhD thesis and writing work focus on innovation, new technologies, and their integration into news organizations. Throughout her academic career, she has been awarded fellowships from prestigious organisations such as the Portulans Institute and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, among others, in recognition of her research excellence. Ioanna holds a master’s degree in risk communication and crisis journalism and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass media, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is proficient in English, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and German. Through her work, she aims to provide solutions for news media organisations in the evolving media landscape, promoting innovation and sustainability in newsrooms.
