Alexandra van Huffelen (1968) has been State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization in the Rutte IV cabinet since January 10, 2022 . Previously, she was State Secretary for Finance from January 29, 2020, responsible for benefits and customs. Ms Van Huffelen was a member of the Senate for D66 from June 11, 2019 to January 29, 2020 and previously, among other things, alderman for sustainability in Rotterdam. In 2014 she became general director of the Amsterdam Municipal Transport Company. Previously, she worked in the energy sector and was interim manager at “De Publieke Zaak”. As a member of the Senate, she was concerned with economic affairs, climate and finance.
