As an Incident Commander for the Rotterdam Fire Department Rotterdam we are confronted with highly volatile incidents on a daily basis. With 23.000 dispatches for the Fire Department and 130.000 Ambulance calls, one of the main risks of a first responder is lack of situational awareness and handling parts of (incomplete) information to create order in chaos and safe lives. My innovation-journey is therefore to create safer operations for first responders and co-develop safer environments to work, live, tackle incidents and boost resilience.
