Michel van Genderen

Michel is an attending ICU physician in the Erasmus MC hospital, the largest ICU in the Netherlands. Next to his work as a clinician, he is focusing on innovative methods to improve healthcare. VR is one of those innovative technologies that could be used to improve ICU treatment. Michel is founding head of a BeterKeten project that focuses on VR to improve mental outcome and quality of life after ICU treatment. He is in charge of a large randomised trial currently running in 10 hospitals (Netherlands and Belgium) and supervises 3 PhD’s.
