Carly Sheridan Speaker

Carly Sheridan has spent years making complex technology legible – and she’s turned that lens on one of AI’s least examined corners.

A researcher and writer based in Barcelona, Carly holds an MDes in Responsible AI from Elisava and is completing an MA in Applied AI for Art & Design. Her focus: how AI systems police bodies – specifically how content moderation algorithms and binary dataset designs censor sex-positive content online. She has presented this work at Sx Tech EU, Vice Policy Digital Forum, and SexTech TO.

Her background spans journalism, blockchain, biometrics and ML – always with the same goal: explaining what technology actually does, and why it matters.
