Thijs de Vries has spent his career finding out what happens when you make learning feel like a game – and then built a company around the answer. As CEO and co-founder of Warp VR, he turned that instinct into one of the highest-rated VR training platforms on the market, used by companies like ASML, KLM, Shell, and Tata Steel to train workforces in safety, security, and soft skills. The results speak for themselves: 75% better retention, 40% less training time.
Before Warp VR, Thijs spent years as a gamification consultant, speaker, and founder – helping organisations understand that changing behaviour through play is not a gimmick, it’s a discipline. He holds a Master’s in Interaction Design from TU Delft.
At ITW, he makes the case that immersive training doesn’t need a dev team to work.
