Embody XR Project

25-30 Minutes VR with 6 DOF

EmbodyXR® is an immersive dance art game blending physical movement and digital storytelling to address anxiety in young people.

EmbodyXR is a creative and clinically informed immersive XR experience that uses movement, dance, and interactive design to support young people’s mental wellbeing, particularly in managing anxiety. Developed by Mercurial Dance, a leading UK arts and creative technology studio, EmbodyXR blends choreography, cognitive behavioural principles, and game mechanics to create an embodied, expressive experience that invites active participation through the XR narrative.

EmbodyXR reframes wellbeing by prioritising the body as the interface. Rather than telling users what to think or feel, the experience invites them to move, explore and interact within a calm, immersive digital environment. Physical engagement becomes an emotional regulator, connecting embodiment with psychological grounding.
