When She Married a Peepal Tree Project

20 minutes VR, AI, Photogrammetry / Volumetric, Worlds / Metaverse

An immersive VR narrative inspired by Indian folklore, where users enter a living forest world shaped by myth and memory, designed for seated or room-scale VR and supporting both single-user exploration and future multi-user interaction.

Participants enter a forest where myth and memory breathe through the trees. A young woman is married to a sacred Peepal tree to escape a curse, but the ritual awakens something older within the forest. As the world shifts around them, participants explore a living landscape where folklore, fear, and unseen forces slowly reveal the truth behind the ritual.
